There’s nothing quite like the first time you see a humpback whale from a kayak. Keeping a respectful distance, we’ll observe these impressive creatures as they spout, turn, feed, slap the surface with their fins, and sometimes erupt into a full-scale breach. It’s truly one of the most sublime wildlife displays on the planet.

Our seven-day Whales expedition start in the George Islands in looking out at the Gulf of Alaksa and ends at Point Adolphus and offers plenty of side-trips, forest hikes, and extended paddling among the nooks and inlets of Chichagof Island.
