Spirit Walker Expeditions is hiring for the 2025 season!
Spirit Walker guides are some of the best in the industry. We’re ACA kayak instructors, wooden kayak builders, WFR/W-EMT instructors, photographers, whale whisperers, teachers, backcountry chefs, lifelong students of the natural world and passionate advocates for wild places. Many have decades of experience as professional guides, some are the new generation of wilderness guides.

Positions Available
FACILITY MANAGER: The Facility Manager manages the Spirit Walker warehouse and ensures all sea kayaking and camping gear is trip-ready when needed. Additionally, the Facility Manager bakes homemade goodies in our commercial kitchen to send out on trips and makes food orders to ensure our food shelves are stocked. Must be at least 21 years old with a clean driving record to assist with dropping off and picking up trips. Experience with baking is a big plus. Must be detail oriented and able to work independently and efficiently.
KAYAK GUIDE: Guides must be at least 21 years old, have a valid WFR or W-EMT certification, backcountry and sea kayaking experience, be adaptable to changing conditions and situations, be detail oriented and safety conscious, be great communicators, have strong leadership skills and be great team players. Guides will plan and pack for 1 to 7-day long expeditions, provide pre-trip orientations and safety/kayaking briefings, and lead groups on multi-day sea kayaking trips in remote areas.

It doesn't get any better than this. If you want to experience the real Alaska you must get out on the water... If we return to Alaska, we will make this expedition again.
"Magic Family Holiday" I can't say enough about the wonderful trips that Spirit Walker puts together. The safety and equipment is great. The guides are great fun and knowledgeable about the areas we went. The food is incredible.
The trip had it all: calving glaciers, breaching humpback whales, grizzlies, moose, bald eagles, harbor seals, and much more. I cannot recommend the Spirit Walker crew and the grandeur of Glacier Bay highly enough. Already thinking about my next return trip to the park.
